I actually just ordered/found these 12v BECs. I also have not recieved them yet. I use an 800mah lipo on my plane for the 12v but i either forget to unplug it or forget it at home when I go fly.
hi. whats the correct working temp for rvosd5 main board ? whats the limit ?
I think the best temperature is between 0-30°C. Top limit should be some were around 50-60°C bottom limit around -40°C.
asking because its hidden in foam due to vibrations and i dont want to overheat it

Heres a question for you.
I was very careful to remove the center pin on the RSSI/temperature input port, And Im running PPM aswell.
I was told by a friend that the PPM port is channel 2 on my rx and channel 1 was RSSI, When in fact it was the other way round!
Is there any way to check if I have damaged my 5 volt rail?
everthing seems to be fine. Im was using a nicad 4.8v pack on my rx
I believe I have to add a RC filter to my RX to get the correct RSSI values. So i cant check if the RSSI is working properly till I do this mod.

If you reversed PPM input and RSSI input to RVOSD nothing bad could happen.

A bit further down... you talk about an R/C wizzard... Is that on the OSD? It would help if the OSD menus were shown in the instructions...
Blame it on me being a newbe.
The Wizard is one of the menu items you need to select when setting up the RVOSD. If you follow it exactly then the RVOSD will be configured to match your aircraft. Dont forget to save any changes before powering off though.
