A receiver that is bound to a transmitter will only listen to that transmitter. So your scenario would not work unless you used a tx/rx combo that does not require a binding procedure. A 72Mhz system should work for you.

It should be possible, but the risk you have is that you won't have a video to display whether or not the IMU is properly working and you won't be able to adjust the settings. If it isn't working properly, the stabilization won't work and your plane will be uncontrollable.

If you are saving money to buy the video equipment, then maybe it is best to wait until you have it all. Otherwise, that saved money may go towards repairs or a new plane before you get the video equipment.

Think this through before your next step. Please be safe.

It could work if you previously bind each receiver to different transmitters. One receiver on PPM1 and the other on PPM2. The OSD will switch to PPM2 if PPM1 receiver is on failsafe.

Sorry. I missed that you were using 2 receivers. Can someone post a wiring diagram for using 2 receivers?

    Alex,
Since this says work in progress, are these instructions updated frequently without notice of revision? It may be useful for you to note the date you have rev'd the instruction so we don't read it every day looking for some new tid bit that will help us be more successful.
    Thanks!

You can check the edition date at the bottom of the post. But I will start adding the revision number on top next time I do edit it. So it is clearer.

    Default Spektrum

    Hi Alex,

Is there a way to decode the packet output of a spektrum receiver ?

I'd like to have some kind of rssi output from my AR7000/8000/9000 ...

Sorry, not possible now. It could be possible to make a firmware update for that, but it is going to be too much work for a receiver that it is less than optimal for FPV ...I think.
