I think the F word may be different. My nephews who are 5 and 6 found out at school that there are bad words that you should not say. They were in the backseat of my sister in laws car and they were trying to guess the what the bad words were. One of them said "I know what the F word is", "It's Fagina". My sister in law just laughed and was not quite sure what to say. Thankfully she shared it with me.

I am excited for the antenna tracker... nice.

Just got the diversity tracker ($22) and it works like a champ. I also bought a patch antenna and was surprised at how the patch antenna stays on 90% of the time even when I fly in areas the patch is not pointing towards. Huge difference.

    2 Questions:

    1. Does it have diversity function on the Main A/V IN & Aus A/V in? I.o. can u feed the A/V from 2 receivers and will it use the best signal, as a diversity system would?

    2. Can you hook up your pc/laptop to it so that it can show your position in 3D in Google Earth or something?

Don't get too excited, the pictures attached are just renders. The aluminum enclosure is being made now. Don't want to give an exact release date, in case there are problems with the case which we have to fix.

Hi guys- been searching around for some time to a solution for RVOSD5 antenna tracking- I haven't bought it yet- but was thinking of the Dragon OSDv2 set up as an alternative if I cannot figure this out soon- the lack of support for antenna tracking is off putting though, though compared to some of you who seem to have been waiting YEARS for the ground station to come out- if it is about to be released soon- I am comparatively lucky..

    that said-

one of the following products was mentioned earlier in the thread, but wasn't addressed-

I have found these 2 antenna tracking products that will work with or without an OSD- if anyone has any experience with these I'd appreciate some feedback-

T-SEEKER ANTENNA TRACKER- apparently somehow (I'm still not sure how it works)- but it does not need an OSD at all or special electronics to track your airplane. It uses the video signal.....?.

and secondly- MyFlyDream AAT 6CH Auto Antenna Tracking System Basic Pack V3- The only thing you will need is an OSD with GPS module or a single GPS module if you donīt want to use an OSD. The MyFlyDream Tracking system is supposed to work with almost every GPS module that use the NMEA standard.

Does anyone know if the GPS module in the RSVOD5 uses the NMEA standard?

Thanks for your responses in advance!

MyFlyDream should work with RVOSD GPS, iīm currently building this as i also use eagletree osd in another plane. With MyFlyDream you will lose (one) audio channel, but you also get bluetooth gps data and can easily connect notebook or phone.

If the signal is processed at the GPS patch (i.e. there is a surfstar type GPS decoder up there) then it should have useable NMEA data comming in at the RVOSD5 GPS connection, as I don't have one yet I don't know. If it's coax from the patch then it is done on the board and you'll need to find where the data lines go between the GPS IC and the main micro.

I would assume the first otherwise it would make extending the GPS antenna potentially problematic.

Or you can use the EzTelemetry with EzTracker. On the plane u just need to use the Audio connection and voila. You have a RVOSD5 with tracker, until the release of the RVtracker, which, of course, I'll get! It is not a waste of money since you can use on other planes, which I do.
    Cheers,

I will buy certainly RVTracker but I'd like Alex tell us if the tracker has a built in Diversity. I would like to know because if not, I will buy RVTracker but also an Oracle Diversity.
    Alex we expect to know..

    @IMEIV
I guess your question can be answered if you count the number of A/V inputs. If there's more then one I guess it does have diversity wouldn't you say?
