    Default Regulated 12v PSU @ 850mw....for 1000mw vtx???

Any one know where I can purchase a PSU that provides a regulated 12v supply to at least 500mw so I can power a vtx (on my ES*) from a 3s lipo. BTW i am aware that the (12v) vtx will run off a 11.1 lipo directly and can handle down to 10.5v. However, I like a consistent 12v power supply and preferably one with very little noise.

Jab...from RCG gave me this link. Is it suitable?

You can't get 12.0 Volts from 11.1 or less off of a LIPO, unless you get more complicated equipment on board...i.e. MORE WEIGHT and MORE $.

BTW do you mean 12Vdc @ 500mA? Let's get the units straight first, before anyone can assist.

Small, dedicated LIPO probably would be cheaper and less interference.... say 1000mA/hr +/- or so. No AC ripple on an isolated battery!

Too late was the cry....I went for a TracoPower TEN15-1212 (32grams). Here is the spec sheet. What do you think, especially about the interference values:

It seems ok to me. 9-18V input, 12V output 1.5A.

Says it's 83% efficient, so expect slightly shorter usage times versus going to a battery directly. Watch the battery gauge inflight!

Is it due to interference ( sounds in audio or lines/static in video ) or you want to have perfect 12.0Vdc for your video gear.

If it's interference, try the torroids such as these:

Or an L-C filter such as this:

Let us know how the video quality is with the DC-DC converter.
